Hello my name is John, i work at Keflavik airport (Arff) rescue and firefighting.
I am 42 years old and have been riding motorbikes for most of my life. Owned Hondas, Ducatis, suzukis, and one kawasaki, last but not least Aprillia Rsv-mille.
Just bought The Beast Gsx 1400 2002mod.
Withe blue and black. Best parts it has only been driven 18.000km.
And looks as new, never been ridden in rain. ( will be now ) :whatever:
So thats me.

Thank you everyone, what a nice and honest welcome.
It is really nice here in Iceland, fresh air, super clean water, and everybody is easy going.

Picture of the prome queen
Very nice K2 Icebreaker! Looks totally original... you might want to consider a guard for the oil cooler tho... expensive to replace if it gets damaged!
Looking good Ice!, Pleased you like the big girl. Just by the way, your missus isn't called Dawn is she? :whistling:
She is all original.
I would like some mods i think, trying to find an exhaust that is as "original" as possible, like the look.
Not dawn, but Brynja.
Nice looking bike.....pleased it spins your wheels :onya:
Hello !
The first time I heard about Keflavik was in that Tom Clancy book "Red Storm Rising".
All I know about Iceland:
- Bjork
- Volcanoes
- Hot Springs
- Beautiful countryside
- Land Rovers with REALLY big wheels for glacier runs
- Expensive
- More women than men (not sure if this last one is true, but it sounds promising).
- Volcanoes
- and, aside from the volcanoes, quite cold.
- Greener than Greenland (which is much icier than Iceland) Go figure.
We are planning a little holiday to Iceland this winter, never been before. Hoping to see the Northern Lights.
It looks like a beautiful country but I have heard the alcohol is quite expensive?

EVERYTHING in Iceland is expensive, not just alcohol! But yes it is a very beautiful country and well worth the visit.

Strangely enough, the car hire was quite reasonable.
Everything has gotten quite, expensive due to tourism.
And yes more women than men, back in 2008. Now i do knot know?
Yes this bike is a keeper. Would still like some more sound from the pipes, as my last bike was an aprillia rsv-mille with full race akropovic. Sweet sound.
