Went to a rally in Belgium last weekend and a couple of days in and around ypres.
Due to ferry costs we had a 320 mile ride down to hull instead of our usual Newcastle ferry.
It's was 28°c great on the bike but hot in traffic.
Having not used the hull ferry for over 15years was interested to see what it was like .you can see why it's cheaper it was ok and had a good sleep.
The rally was just past Antwerp and only 1hour 30 mins away it was 38°c way to hot so got to the rally and managed to get a space for the tent in a area that was shaded untill 2pm cooler mornings.
Couple of the bikes
A Dutch gsx1400 I did point him this way.
On to ypres
And a trip to tyne cot cemetery and hill62
Very moving places.
Did you do the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate? It's on my list for the trip back.

The picture of the Sherwood foresters is for my great uncle who died at the Somme.

I will defiantly give that some thought for next year :hat:
We did the same thing last week in June. Same trip as you by the looks of it. Same places visited. |We were at the Menin Gate for armed forces day so it was a bit special and a bit more going on. Certainly an experience that everyone should see even if that sort of thing isnt your bag. Its something that needs to be experienced.
