Title: A Friend In Need
Post by: grog on Friday, 06 July 2018, 07:34 PM
my mate relocating from nth qld. nowhere to store his bikes, asked me if i could fit in my shed until he finds a new house. just ride them, keep them running. poor me, such a lot of responsibility. i couldnt say no. at my leisure will have a choice. do i take the 14, maybe the diavel or just the rocket 3. life sometimes makes it hard. hope he finds a while to buy new house.  :boogie: :boogie:

Diavel or Rocket 3. Hmmm - now that IS a difficult choice.

For me the 14 probably wouldn't get used much....if at all.... :whistling: :stir:

Yeah just lucky he trusts me. Ive spent lots of time on his Rocket, love that bike. Only a couple of hrs on Diavel, hard to describe that one. Sort of just goes, stops or corners by just thinking about it. Dont like its instruments, only fault. Rocket is too heavy for parking, got to plan ahead. After couple of weeks on those, getting back on 14 is def no let down.still one of lifes pleasures

Obviously mt carbine a closed track. Yawn. That day of pic, mrs jumped on rocket, me on diavel. Bloody thing ran wide on one corner. Had me doubting ducati handling. Corner posted at 80, stupid diavel, just had to try 180. Very true story. Was a fun day.

Col, thats just what Diavels do, you feel like your sitting on a big trail bike, then a reality check, have a ride on one. Yeah was 180. It felt slow after our 220 to 240 previous 10 minutes.
