Title: MotoGP Mugello
Post by: VladTepes on Monday, 04 June 2018, 11:58 AM
Well, cool !

The Italians had plenty to cheer about, Ducati, Ducati, Rossi.
By god those Ducatis have some straight line speed!

Not too shabby from Suzuki too, with a 4 & 5 finish. :)

Championship a bit more open up now too.

Have you ever seen anyone do more to try to save a bike which has already low-sided ?

Typical, I waited so long for that win and I was sick and went to bed early!

Marquez needs to wind his neck in a bit.  its all very well having a big grin and flashing a big ole smile but championships are won by points and not all points have to come from a Win...

I love the GP and love to watch, im a proper edge of sofa spitting lunch and beer kinda guy but is it just me or does Marquez HAVE  to win at ANY cost.  Ianonne has been dragged over the coals and doesn't have a ride next year for the same (less) crap that Marquez is pulling off !!!

Danny - sadly I think he is done in GP and he really should have had one championship on his bedpost.
Cal..  STOP CRASHING !!!!!!!
Lorenzo....  erm can you sit me down and explain exactly why you got a £12 million p/a contract !?!
Dovi, on the brakes..  WOW.  Just WOW!
Zarco - that man is going far...
Maveric, well, he should go back to being on Top Gun cos him and the Yamaha don't work !!

And so to Rossi..  at 39 years young he posts the fastest ever lap round Mugello on 2 wheels and drives the place into a frenzy.  There has never been nor will there ever be a more magnetic ambassador for 2 wheel'd racing madness!!
I fear MotoGP will not be the same in 2 years.

Im hoping to get to Mugello for the 2019 race as I think its the last time we will see Rossi Race there and I want to be swept up in all that nutty stuff

Yes, he does.  It's the only way he knows how.

Some riders (and drivers) are calm, calculating and take only as much risk as is necessary to take as many points as possible without  crashing.

Some, like Marquez, go for the  win EVERY time.  If they try to ride at 9/10 they are actually more likely to make mistakes, as that's not the way that suits them.

And those riders/drivers who go ten tenths are the exciting ones to watch!

You won't see a better low-side ever. :)

(Puts Yellow shirt on and lights yellow flare)

6 rounds in and I wasn't really expecting VR to be 2nd in the points. I still wouldn't feel safe putting $1 on him ever winning another championship but there's something I like about seeing him still out there and being up the pointy end of the action.

The whole "Cult of Rossi" thing is still a bit strange to me, "The sea of Yellow at Mugello", but be it amazing or just cringeworthy it still adds something to the show and every pantomime needs both hero's and villains.

Good to see J-Lo put in an unexpected performance at Mugello.

I liked the interviews and chat pre-race at Mugello.

Ducati have the top speed advantage...

Honda don't think this is a big deal...

Suzuki think it is, they are 10kph down...

... and Cal thinks Nakagami sounds a bit like "Nackers" which is your goolies so its funny...
