I used to live near Robbie Plant. He has a property near my parents farm. My sister used to go 10-pin bowling with him. Nice bloke, fits in well with the locals, down the shops, 5 aside footy for the pub. He did a guest turn at a local caravan park for a local fund raiser.
Great story Tony. i like hearing about that sort of stuff. my mates sister in 70s wrote for Go Set magazine in Melbourne. Parents lived at Nundah. He came home from school one night to having Cat Stevens around for dinner.
I cant do it.. Narrow down to 3? impossible.. Changes by mood, day, weather, smells.. Music has been such a major influence in my life both for good and ill i just cant do it.. I cant even narrow down to 3 artists!!! :rofl2:

Anything by 5 Finger Death Punch.
Anything by AC/DC.
Anything by Shinedown.
5 Finger Death Punch is great to ride to, but it does tend to raise MPH to silly levels on the motorway :boogie:
I'm with Proteous on this but if pushed I would say anything by Manowar, Rammstein or Hammerfall although 5 finger death punch could be there.
I sense a part of the metal brigade are here....How about a bit of James Last.... or Mantovani? :whistling:
Here's mine
The Green Manalishi... Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac
Tom Sawyer... Rush
A Portait of Tracy.... Jaco Pastorius
A couple that get me pumped up & moving are.
-Town like Mallice by The Jam
-Blister in the sun by Violent femmes
-Thunderstruck by AC/DC
Oh yeah and most things by The Clash, Def Leppard. Motorhead, Rammstein, AC/DC and Metallica.
Hmm that's more than three songs.
Maybe we need a 'name your 10 favourite bands/musicians thread. That'd be fun.

I've got pretty serious home theatre system, 4500 watts with 4x 12" Active Subs, when I listen to Wagners "Ring" or Carl Orffs "Carmina Burana" the Whole suburb listens to it.
I started this post. Have listened/ learnt some great new music. Just glad i dont live near that 4800 sound system. Being fair i had a listen to the classical stuff. I also dont like the sound harleys make.
So not booked Sturgis for your holidays Grog ?? :whistling:
4500w isn't that much. Roughly the same as a good sized pubs live music PA. :onya:
Tbh, its just two 7.2 home theatre systems with linked, duplicated audio inputs allowing me to run either, neither, or both systems. 😁
I like
