Been trying different helmets for months, the French seemed to think I was the "crazy Gallois" as I would spend around 40 mins wandering around the shop with a helmet on, then take it off and disappear only to return a week or two later to do the same with a different make.
Comfort is everything, so having chose the model and size I then scoured the world for the colour I wanted, finally finding it in Italy.
Colour match to the bike isn't bad either. :cheesy:
Good man!! Gotta be comfortable! I did the same type of thing, ended up sourcing my Italian hat from The Netherlands & shipped way down here.
Hey Lil,
Is that a K5? (the helmut not bike)
Nice hat suits the bike well
Blue and white helmet clearly very special and rare unlike common black ones ! :)
Must admit, mine's common (like it's owner)

Notty dont you have a wedding to get ready for instead of upsetting those that prefer black....... Harry obviously likes a splash of black :onya:
Nice helmet Lil.

I cry at weddings - at least I did at my own (may have been the father in law's shotgun in my ribs) as a celebration of todays royal wedding I am going out on the 14 until its over so won't get too upset !! :)
I'd join ya Notty, :boogie: but I'll be sleeping through it! The Mrs however, will stay up all night to see the spectacle.

I do the same when buying new helmets after I bought one which I only tried on for a few minutes, after an hour on the bike my head hurt so I had to sell it and start all over again.
With Black Col we know where we stand, none of this colour matching nonsense. Just buy everything Black
Simples :smitten:

I'm with you on that one. 350kms with the new lid instead of a wedding.
Wasn't sure about these "pilot visors" but what a revalation! No more sunglasses in the helmet. :)

i wear glasses and have a Shuberth C3 pro and so internal sun visor is brilliant as photochromic don't work with the helmet on - sunglasses mean if it goes dark your f**ked - happy days :)
I know the problem with lids. I am currently breaking in a new Nolan N87. It's taken me about 2 months to find a good fit, as I am a 3XL in some makes (maybe 2XL in others). This means there aren't many shops that I can go to because they tend not to keep the biggest ones in stock. No demand for them sir.
So eventually I did a 3 hour drive to Sportsbikeshop near Lincoln. I can't recommend those guys highly enough, they have an absolutely huge warehouse with everything in stock. I've never beat their prices and they are a pleasure to deal with.
In an ideal world I'd like an Arai, but nobody in the UK has them in anything above XL. Perhaps next time I'm in America I will pick one up.
My missus is a fan of the royals so she went off to watch it on telly with some mates while I got the 14 ready for my road trip next week. Once again this site comes up trumps, I did the brake disc bobbin clean thing (among other little jobs).
3XL!!! I think we'll need to start calling you 'Big Bonce'. :rofl2:

Bought mine (Hjc) from Sports bike shop, highly recommend them. 5* rated, comfy, built in sun visor, Colour match was a consideration!
I bought an Hjc cinatti 5* rated with built in sun visor & yes the colour was a consideration!
