Title: K3 tank repair.
Post by: archno1 on Wednesday, 16 May 2018, 07:38 AM
Hi

I am looking at getting my tank repaired, after looking at it forlornly for a couple of years! Somebody has quoted me approximately £150, which I think isn't too bad. What do other people think? Are there any other options I should consider?
Pictures attached.

Thanks in anticipation

Ouch!    Poor tank.  Lucky it didn't go right through.

Nasty dents! Short of fitting another tank, then I guess you have no option but to fix it unless you can pick up a good second hand tank.

Before getting yours repaired though, do check the underside for rust - a few K2's and K3's i've seen of late have started getting rust pinholes in the underside, so make sure yours is sound first (or get it treated).

Assuming you are having it painted as standard colours in B&W, £150 sounds a very keen price given that the decals have to be replaced (or re-created).

To get it back to a good condition for £150 go for it my k6 tank had no dents and was £500 to have repainted with original colours and decals .
