Today we had local opening of the riding season. It was also a charity ride, fund raising for a school of deaf children.
There were 700 bikes and about 1000 people..
Lots of bikes..Sun and blue skies...Perfect :onya:
Interesting how l never think of a riding season. Yes it gets cold in the winter but nothing you cannot dress up for.
That looks like a great turnout T24 and for a great cause.
Here's hoping you have a long, sunny and enjoyable riding season
Great turnout, & for a great cause as well.
Looks like a good day but what is a riding season? :whatever:

Riding season is that silly word we use here near the North Pole.
It's an opposite of our winter, when we have meter of snow and a few months temperatures between -10 to -20°C ;)
Hard to get my head around -10 to -20.
How much daylight do you have each day through the winter months ?

In northern Finland the "night" can last 52 days..
In southern Finland, where I live, the shortest day is about 5.5 hours..
And everything between those.
That's a whole other world T24! :confused1: A completely different way of life. :salute: What ever you're used to I suppose.

Last time I was complaining about long nights but now we have very short nights. Pic was taken close to midnight. Notice the light.
Our shortest day was last week. Dark at 5.30pm in Tauranga.
Lucky you, our shortest days get dark about 3-3:30pm around here.
T24 live ~100km north from me, so my situation is the same.
Friends from central and southern Europe, when they come to visit me at summer time, complain they cans get sleep cause it's to bright outside... But "white nights" are only in June and half of July.
For me, when I'm at Greece (for example) is very unusual, when at 8PM it's pitch back outside.
Today was Susikoski Päräys 2019, a charity ride, fund raising for a school of deaf children.
The weather was cloudy and it started to rain, so there was "only" 400 bikes.
Only 400 :onya: :onya: :onya: :onya: Great work :boogie2: :boogie2:
