Title: C28 Error Issue
Post by: Del on Friday, 27 April 2018, 05:04 AM
Evening Gents - question

I have a mate who has a C28 error ( (STVA) secondary throttle valve actuator) on his bike - but its intermittent  It only comes on maybe after 20 or 30 mins of riding and goes away for a while when you have stopped for petrol etc but then re appears back on again. He has also said that some days the F1 light doesn't come on at all - I reckon it is electrical and not the actuator magnet that there is a post on FB about

Cheers for any help on this

I'd start pulling and checking associated loom plugs for corrosion etc and go from there...Start simple ;)

Its extremely simple to check if it is faulty or not, its just a case of dropping a meter across the STVA i think you will find (as i did) that the problem starts intermittent as the resistor begins to break down...
Now, i cant remember the values your looking for off the top of my head but either somone is about to tell you OR look up my previous thread about exactly this from last year.
