Just reading threads on meet/rides out by folk in countries "down under" so I thought I would look on the members map to see how many and where other members in France were.
Couldn't be more split up with 3 - 1 in the absolute north, me in the middle and 1 in absolute south!
But, and the reason for this thread, some members live in the sea! I always thought the damp would impare the enjoyment but no, Atlantic, Southern Atlantic, our members seem happy enough in the wet stuff, so, as the thread says, is that really where you live?
I suspect that members are only putting in an approximation of were they live otherwise it's an easy invitation to thieving scum. If you look at my location it's on Clevedon pier but I don't live there but it's close enough to get a general idea.

Makes perfect sense - I took a similar approach. But several hundred/thousand miles offshore? Not so helpful if you are looking for compatriots 'local' to you.
I live behind the moon. Couldn't find the proper spot on the member map, so just picked a random spot. Glad I didn't end up in the ocean :coffeescreen:

I knew there was something 'odd' about you! :happy1:
Perhaps a place in the hall of fame for whoever is furthest from home? :stir:

My location on map is a few miles wrong, just for those "thieving scum" who mjgt mentioned.
Yes I really live in a falling down old castle :stir:
I think in the area where you live is good enough I wouldn't put my/your actual address.

I live and love (in the same place) it'll teach me for trying to be smart.

Jeeez..
Will alter my location forthwith !!
I think it said in the original instructions about posting your location to put a mark nearby rather than at your actual address just for safety as it is a public forum and you never know who's really nosing about in the background looking to see if folk are going away ECT.

I agree with not being too close to home - it makes sense, but being in the southern Atlantic is taking it a bit far, even for our upside down friends :mwink:
I think l live in a Mountain Bike Park. :onya:
And I live on the North Pier in crappy Blackpool !
I now live in Cathedral !! :)
That's cause you're a saint Notty . . .

With Blue & White décor naturally . . Upturned pistons as a chalice etc
Castrol instead of wine? :)
Bugger that, gimme wine any day, doesn't even have to be good.
I'm now in the local School, hope that's not inappropriate :embarrassed:
im in the local creek, no wonder my chinese mirrors need inox to stop the rust.
Can you see any crocs ?
Yeah, the art teacher has them on Fruit :whistling:
Ocean? That's luxury that is.
My "pin" is on the edge of Roundhill Sewage Treatment Works. I'd give my right arm to be in an ocean.
You lucky b*st*rds.
I was thinking ( whilst finishing a bottle of red) why not find a town of the same name but wrong country and have it as your post?
I visited Tasmania a couple of years ago and stayed in Launceston. I also have a friend in Launceston in Cornwall. This could be a great way to confuse robbin Bastards

Yes this is exactly what I mentioned in the instructional video about setting up profile and member map etc.
Mine is in a local park or something, not my SPECIFIC address, but I do have it close to home. I envisage the member map as a tool for people to see who lives in their area, which might be handy when planning rides. (or "ride outs" as you weirdo poms call them, as if you are going to "ride in")
Some in the Northern Hemisphere are now starting to thaw and may in fact ride their prized 1400.
So lets not be too picky Vlad, just remember lads.......handlebars to the front :onya:
But ya have to ride out before ya can ride in Vlad, surely? Then we'll get to ride on . . . and go from there.
