Waking thoughts that became a reality.. Lol
Dial gauge doesn't arrive till later today but I thought I would post a couple of photos of my idea for a secure mounting area for the dial gauge for testing discs.
Its very simple and can be attached and removed in 2 minutes without removing anything from the bike at all!
I drilled 2 holes in the metal bars to allow different mounting points as I don't have the dial gauge to hand just yet.
Once it arrives I shall take some photos of it in situ.
Overall I am pretty pleased with this solution to my problem !
Rod is 12mm
Steel is some 9mm galvanised stuff I had left over from a garden project ages ago.
Obviously this would work on any bike that has hollow axles..
My rear disc is fine but I have a longer piece of threaded rod should I ever choose to test the rear disc.
I commend this idea to the house.
Very good Speedy. Simple, quick & effective. Well done that man. :notworthy:
That should work just fine :onya:
If you paint it black you'll get the results quicker :stir:
Looks good Simon but Paint it BLUE and WHITE :smile2:
please dont forget to take them off before ride. your mates would love that. :happy1:
