Chap killed a burglar in his house and has been arrested, should have been given a medal for getting rid of a lowlife scumbag.
#freerichardosbornbrooks ;)
its a bloody disgrace he's in his late 6o's two scumbags in there 30's brake in one attacks him with a screw driver he deffends him self and ends up being arrested and charged ...... what the f**k is the world coming too !!! :furious:
He's been let out on bail this afternoon .hopefully it get put down as an accidental death as if they hadn't tried to rob him they'd still be alive .
It's a shame 1 of the robbers ran away tho better to stop 2 from ever robbing again than 1 .
I have a story very similar to that old bloke, so I can sympathise with his situation.
Same sort of shit happened to me, years ago. Difference is I didn't kill him, 'fairly good hiding' though. He wanted to press assault charges against me, then cops found out he'd been telling them lies about his id etc, so they gave him another hiding as well. Nothing ended up happening about it.
if he was in the states he'd be a bloody hero !!... there's a lot wrong in America but there's a lot right too including being able to defend whats yours !
He would have been pleased to see you were only a little bloke Col.
Got woken one night neighbour and his mate had got home to find scum trying to get seats out of mates car. Most of the noise was mate telling my neighbour not to kill him. He got in a bit of trouble for using excessive force.
It all just seems so wrong not to be able to protect your family and property.

You are able to protect yours' as well as others. Just have to pay some heavy price for that at times. Even in the USA you are not that easily off the hook. You still have to prove that you did not use excessive force to protect yourself. You might be a hero to some but not to "Baba" in prison (who just sees you as his slut).
Not quite sure what your supposed to do ring the police who will come for a statment in 3 weeks time in the meantime give them a hand to clear you out !!!
I wouldn't hesitate if some one broke in my house as far as im concerned its me or them !
Calm down, they've released the pensioner on bail while they check out his story. Nobody is locking the old bloke up, but the police have to do their job. Bear in mind that someone died, they have to check it out and make sure his version of events is the right one.
On the face of it it looks like legitimate self defence, but I'll wait and see what the investigation turns up.
wooden trunchion under my bed. guess what thats for.

no affence ment to any one i get a bit wound up on this subject ive been cleared out twice when i was down south , and the police just treated it as if it was just more paper work to do ! and the second time they were more interested in a tyre on the van that was borderline than the fact i'd had 2 bikes and all my tools nicked !!!
ok...ok...ok calm down !! take a valium .... thats better
And now the scums family are saying he was a nice chap (with a criminal record). If you break into someone's house at 2 in the morning armed with a screwdriver it's not unreasonable the owner is going to protect themselves, he got what he deserved, no question.

We had the same up here a couple were killed when they hit a tree on a stolen motorbike a few years ago but their family and friends were saying what a lovely pair they were .
Again criminal records as long as your arm and the worst was they had 3 small children .
Scum breading more scum not working but a house full of the latest stuff.
If I ever catch someone in my house in the middle of the night I'll be going to jail
:furious:
Shame he didn't do the pair of them in my opinion. Scum. :furious:
Well what do you expect the family to say about their beloved offspring? They are hardly likely to come out with "fair play, he was a scumbag". Blame the media for asking stupid questions in the first place.
Reminds me of when I was at a funeral of some distant family member years ago. The vicar was droning on for ages about what a great guy he was, when my granddad turned to me and said "they never buried a bastard, did they?"
Good to see that the pensioner has been released and that no further action or investigation will take place.
Give the guy a medal..He's a hero.
@seth Regarding scrotes crashing and dying on stolen bikes..It's called Karma. NO sympathy whatsoever or any f*cks given!
Its get worse, really bad, it turns out the burglar just happened to be one of our 'traveler' friends ( gippo) & the 'family' has sworn vengeance as he was a real nice guy who loved his family, now the old fella has to move out, never to come back & has to have police protection 24-7.
Its time this government said enough is enough & kick the lowlife scum out, ALL our UK politicians are totally spineless, I'm bloody seething as I write this, these arseholes are f**king taking over.
Thieving scum they get all the benefits and pay for nothing the plod should tax a look at the motors as I bet they have no tax mot or insurance .
If they are travellers they can move on as I bet there staying on an illegal site so they don't pay council tax ECT.
Only good thing is the crime rate might just drop in the area as one of them is hiding and the other is dead.
:furious:
Totally agree with you Lawrie and Seth. Not only that but the scumbags family and friends are putting flowers outside the home of the guy burgled, all the neighbours are disgusted and have complained but the police wont move them, I bloody would and chuck them in the bin. Why do the scum have more rights than the law abiding in this country, really pisses me off. :furious: :furious:
Calm down guys... they are 'travelling folk'.... and we all know how 'persecuted' they are and how much we all need to contribute to looking after them and their lifestyle :stir:
Just for avoidance of doubt.... I completely agree with you all! :furious:
1933-1945 (in my country) the pendulum swung to an extreme position (Gypsies received the same "treatment" as other "undesirables") . Nowadays it has swung to another extreme position. High time it goes back to the middle (and stay about there forever).
