Title: Android for Dummies? Win10 for Dummies ?
Post by: VladTepes on Thursday, 05 April 2018, 04:45 PM
My missus has been known to be technologically challenged at times.

Those 'x for dummies" books seem to be pretty good, but actually rely on people reading them...

Has anyone got any recommendations of books or PDF's or YT videos or sites pitched at a basic to intermediate  level, for those subjects?

What does she need that for? She has you to sort stuff for her.   :whatever:   Besides, if you really 'want' to learn something, not just 'this is something I should learn' you will remember what's important on the topic, so, looks like you're it for the foreseeable future anyway Mike. :onya:

She doesn't need to 'listen' or modify her ways, cause you're there & will sort it.  Mine's the same.  I know I don't know anywhere near what you do about computers etc, but mine is the same as yours, not really interested in remembering how to do stuff or understanding how they work.  Mine can't even add a new contact to her phone, but can play Candy Crush & Bingo Blitz for hours each day!
She was actually #1 in the world on Candy Crush for a wee bit, I did a screen grab of it for her.

YouTube tutorials are great for beginners! Just search for the topic you're interested in along with "beginner tutorial" or "for beginners."
