Woo Hoo! :boogie: 4 day weekend is almost here. Just stocktaking & roll overs :jack: to do this afternoon, then free for 4 daze. :clapping:
Mrs KC & I are going to Kaikoura, bit of fishing, bit of craying, some maintenance on the caravan, pull the clutch assy out of one of the quads & inspect for required replacement parts (that's her job!) & most likel'y a few bevvies (that's my job) in there somewhere.
What have others got on for the long weekend? :whatever: I know Mick is cleaning out the junior executive loo on 1 of the days . . :stir:
Whatever you end up doing, have a great time & hope you all keep safe.
National Jazz Festival in Tauranga for me. Looking forward to it. Always a good vibe.
Hope everyone enjoys their Easter.
 to all.
Hoping to get out on the bike but will be weather dependant as if it's tipping it down, Mrs B won't want to get on the bike. Otherwise a run out into the countryside for a spot of lunch with some mates and their better halves.
At the moment, if the weather forecast is right it's going to be a wet Easter here and a bit chilly - 8/9C perhaps.
Take the Audi Dave.
Hope to visit one of the local-ish bike shows on the first easter day.
Always a nice season opener

If it was just me, then it would def be the Tex, but given Mrs B is adverse to rainy weather when she can avoid it - I may just have to (hate doing it on Bank Holiday weekends though cos the roads are so jammed with cars, but anything for a quiet life :whistling:)
Couldn't quite read the poster Blubber. But it looks like theres something for everyone.

Crikey...a caravanner and biker! Was wondering how you manage that potential for conflict :happy1:

its easy !!! take the misses for a long weekend in the tin tent (thats her thing !) then i get a loooong weekend on the bike were ever i want to go , usually involves fast twisty roads and pubs in the middle of nowhere :imrgreen:
I'm a 'caravanner & biker' too. Mind you, my 5th wheeler stays on site at Kaikorua.
Best mate's a caravanner but not a biker.... conversations with him revolve round tow weights, hitch types and the best pitches.... riveting! I never really understood the attraction to having a house on wheels and all the hassle that brings....
I enjoy fly fishing.... I'll bet some folks don't understand that either but each to their own :onya:
And I'm a fisher as well. I tow the boat up to the caravan! Sometimes I ride up & Mrs KC takes the car & boat.
Tin tent...... :rofl2:
We used to have an Easter pilgrimage to a little country town called Bathurst until the bloody do gooders decided that motorcycle racing on the mountain was dangerous. So instead there's a 6 hour car race on for the wine sipping latte mob but I'll probably just grab a beer and a comfortable chair and watch the grass grow.
We lost an institution with the Easter Bathurst races so what's next to go? IOM or maybe all road racing.
Having been raised in a religious family, I'll be following Jesus's example at this time of year by going out on Friday and not coming back until Sunday :notworthy:

Very good Red. The missus is still laughing.
Went to Bathurst at Easter a couple of times. That was a race meeting and a half.
Quite an experience for a young Kiwi. All the names we read about were there. We were there. Great days.

Doing the chores today & bit of bike prep for our big 4 day ride next Friday.
Then heading off tomorrow morning with Mrs Sweaty (she loves that name) in the car ☹️ to Swansea (no, not the UK one) to spend a couple of days at a friends place with a small group of friends for some drinks, swimming & a bit of fun 🍻🎉
Have a great Easter folks.
So far I am watching the rain radar and hoping the rain keeps teetering out over the Ardennen. With luck I'll take a nice relaxed ride tomorrow at 14°, dry roads, and sunshine. Stop by my favorite cafe, sit in the sun on the terrace with a great cup of coffee and a Belgian rice vlam. Then head to the abbey of Val-Dieu and stash a bottle or two of their Brune Beer (brewed the same way since 1216 A.D) under the 14's seat (these 0.75 bottles fit nicely). Them Catholics do have their store open every day on Easter. That makes sense as historically beer has always been flowing on the holy days
Smoking a 3.5 kg ham for easter at my back yard. It takes maybe 12-14 hours..
And waiting for the summer, still -10°C. Bike is ready but it's too cold and slippery..
Thanks Andre, beer flows on holy days. Might just have to follow that tradition. Best religious idea ive ever heard.
I'm into it already, call it a sixth sense if ya like.
No 6th sense for me. Maybe 6 beers then ill make no sense.
Just chewing back beer # 6 myself. Only stubbies mind.
Frustrating day, bike finally road ready after 4 months and it's persisting it down :furious: Forecast gets worse as the weekend goes on!!

Rain started 1 1/2 hours after I got home. But things will get better in a few days (hopefully). Glad this shite dark and dreary winter is over.
