Title: Coloured Bolts
Post by: Red Biker on Thursday, 15 March 2018, 08:57 PM
As I'm mellowing in my old age and starting to realise other colours are available (Red) for the bike, I've found these guys as an alternative to Probolt. I've ordered some bits so will let you know how they compare, fraction of the cost and are stainless.

NB
Made to order so lead times are 2 weeks

Cheers
Red

@Red Biker  I know you've not been active here for some time but hoping you may get an email notification of this reply.

In case you do - how did these work out for you?

Be very wary fitting anodised aluminium bolts..They are made from poor quality cheese and snap, corrode and fade in colour!

Those from GWR aren't anodised aluminium they area coasted stainless steel (not anodisation, some other process)

In any event what I really want is a complete list of fasteners for the 1400.

Slightly later than planned..... but yeah 2 years on and no issues, bolts have held their colour and still look good.

Had a casing off earlier this year no issues so considering the cost I think these are great value especially compared to pro bolt.

NB not anodised, they are stainless 😉

Hey Red, Were the bolts all the same size or multiple size's, Cheers.

Hi Yeti,
It was made to order, so I used the bolt size's guide to get what I needed, I think there are just 2 different length's for the casings.

Min order was £20 I think so ordered a few spares and some spaces which I have used on the handle bars.

Cheers Red
