No not just in the UK......we keep allowing people in while spending nothing on infrastructure. Hospitals are overflowing, we have sod all coppers. We have vast health and safety legislation to protect us from ourselves yet more and more tourists are killing us because they get in their overseas owned rental company vehicles and drive head on into us. They bring no money to stay in a camp grounds so shit in the bush or on the side of the road as govt forgot to build loos in places people visit. Freedom camping they call it. The budget tourists will become the reason people stop visiting NZ. Road repairs on top of road repairs instead of proper resurfacing. I'm sure someone in govt owns the company that makes road cones and hi-viz vests. But not much work gets done on the roads.

It's an absolute fecking joke...
Before they throw that kind of money at the project, they need to do something really simple, like do a feasibility study.
Ask a sample audience if they actually want to speak-a-lingo, if they want to integrate. Then judge what needs spending :onya:
I worked in leisure in the UK for 40 years. In the '90s I took a degree in leisure in MMU Whilst there I was with leisure people from all over. Two guys from Salford told us (in a marketing module) that when they did a leaflet for a new course or session, it went to their equal opportunity department to be translated into (if I remember correctly) 5 languages.
So the UK created an environment where needing to learn the language was unnecessary. Today, they are committing £millions to put it right.
I know live in France where I have learnt to speak French, no Molly cuddling foreigners, to be in France, you have to speak the lingo.

We directly spend TENTH OF BILLIONS every year to help and "integrate" "refugees". Most who attend language classes drop out and only a handful seriously study the language. They don't have to as the gov and volunteers provide the translating for them. :thumbs_down:
What they don't mention is what it costs us in additional police, judges and jail costs (if they even go to jail). Lots of other costs and problems too.

On a related note..
Last week I had to travel on the M6 motorway on my way to Lichfield..
There were several lorries broken down which caused tail backs..
But get this.... There was a car that had broken down.. It had foreign number plates.. It was left with its hazard lights flashing in the middle lane of the M6 with no one in it!!
The guy hadn't even bothered to coast to a stop on the hard shoulder !!

It really does piss me off, there are only white British born racists in this country, jonny foreigner gets to tell us what he/she will or wont do and the law gets changed to suit. Crash helmets are mandatory unless you are foreign and don't like the look of them. I also saw on the new that some mosques are gaining listed status, I wonder how many churches will get the same distinction in any of the Arab states :furious:

I think it's supposed to show how progressive, permissive & enlightened we are, but all it's doing is pissing off the majority of citizens. The 'majority' can't get this stuff to stop, as all the parties are doing the same thing to a greater or lesser extent. They all want to 'look good on the world stage' & appear more enlightened & progressive than the last lot! The poli's are ok with it because it's 'not in my neighborhood' & they're insulated from the effects to a certian extent.
The poli's create this mess, they should have to live with it!
We finally have a new government which is the old one, with a bit of change in the top levels. Our new minister of the interior stated that islam IS NOT part of Germany. Chancellor Merkel emphatically replied that islam IS part of Germany. 75% of the population responded that it IS NOT! Who are the idiot 25% ?

Many years ago I worked in Knowsley, Merseyside. I had an office in Stockbridge Village, (formerly Cantril Farm) this was often classed as a "no-go" area even for police. I got to know the locals very well and strangely enough, no foreigners.
I saw a tv programme on Craig Charles (Red Dwarf) he was born in Liverpool and his family were moved to Cantril Farm when he was 10. They lasted 6 months and had to leave. Something to do with his colour.....
