Because I'm bored today, I decided to install the fairing that came with the bike when I bought it, believing I just bolt it on but boy am I wrong. Are there some additional brackets that I didn't get with the bike and fairing....? Where can I get it from?

@Potbellied German So what you have there is a Skidmarx Cockpit fairing, same as I had fitted to my 14.
There should be 3 brackets.
1 longish one with a 90 degree bend at the end - this fits in with a replacement (longer) bolt between the front brake splitter and bottom yoke and bolts to the small hole in the bottom lip of the fairing at the front.
There should also be 2 (what I would call) flattish-Z brackets, these bolt to the bike using replacement headlamp bolts and spacers and go up to the 2 large screws in the side of the fairing. There is a right and wrong way up for these, which you soon discover when you offer the fairing up!
If you don't have the brackets or bolts, then you need to contact Skidmarx in the U.K., asking for a fitting kit for a GSX1400 Cockpit Fairing.

You may also get a kit from http://www.pandpbodyworks.co.uk/ as they supply GRP side of the business from Skidmarx. I happen to be there later this morning so will enquire on price about a fitting kit - from memory about £20 plus postage.

I won't be as helpful as Barmy but I do have a solution for the missing brackets.
Stop looking for them and see if you can lose the ugly screen too. :thumbs_down:

Mine came with a Givi screen, which deflects the air blast straight into the middle of my face. Over 40mph I couldn't hear anything except wind roar, so I binned it and I'm much happier al fresco. Just need to build up some neck muscles.
