So I think I remember in my introduction that I may at some point ask some stupid questions. That time I feel is now. Are side panels universal across the 1400 range. I attach a link wondering if they will fit my K2 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Polished-Side-Panel-Covers-for-SUZUKI-GSX1400-GSX-1400/122974442581?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D49919%26meid%3D160d95bae41941d4ac554d1be4851eeb%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D9%26sd%3D112649243404%26itm%3D122974442581&_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850
OOPS !!!!! Looks like it was a very stupid question coz I just noticed that the answer is yes :embarassed:
All years side panels are the same plastic but early models were painted later ones weren't .
The shiny plates will fit any year
Sorry Seth but I don't think early ones were painted.
K2 side panels were manufactured glossy black (I know as I put them on my K7), K3 onwards were more of a satin dark charcoal finish. Many though have painted later side panels to replicate the glossy K2 ones using Ford Panther Black (nearest match)
That's ok Dave I knew they were a different finish but wasn't sure how so thanks for clarifying it .
The panels are all the same tho and all fit all models.
