Title: L.E.D. bulbs
Post by: seth on Tuesday, 20 February 2018, 09:18 PM
I've looked through the threads on LED bulbs  so think I know what I'll fit .
My question is do they use lower power (watts) as I'll be fitting 2 and want to make sure they don't over load the alternator as 2 ate bulbs will draw 120 watts on high beam and I don't think the bike will like that especially in the winter with heated grips ECT running.

Yes typically much lower than incandescent bulbs - you shouldn't have any problems.

Much lower draw Seth, so less load on the alternator. To be honest if you fit 2 H4 LED bulbs you will draw less current in total than the one incandesent fitted as standard.

If you want to check what spare capacity you have, this article may help
