Post by: froudy on Saturday, 17 February 2018, 07:42 PM
To all you lucky lads in warmer climes, this is what we have to put up with Winter riding in the UK :furious:
I hate seeing the bike in this state...I'm just off outside to do a full clean..

They were lovely casings
At least they are powder coated so wipe clean
A good wash and a coating of acf50 be as good as new.

All clean again now :boogie: :boogie:

Had to tighten the front sprocket and Threadlock it again as it had worked loose. Also some lube on the rear brake pedal pivot as it was seizing up with all the salt.

Oh yes..It gets washed every week through the winter..And it's paying off :onya:

And if Dave says anything about the water marks on the rad grille...It wasn't my usual meticulous clean as it'll get covered in salt again tomorrow night when I ride to work

Only good thing is seeing how nice they come up again when cleaned properly  :onya:

I'm still finding bits of heather in mine after touring Scotland in Oct!

Its even worse up here the roads literally turn red !! and even in the summer if its wet the stuff just keeps coming out the roads  :frustrated: , i even wash the car after every trip as it plays hell with the wheel arches and the suspention bushes .
