Title: Well, Kawasaki are on top of their game....
Post by: VladTepes on Tuesday, 13 February 2018, 01:43 PM
I always thought if I won some $ and wanted a touring motorcycle, it would be hard to go wrong with a 1400GTR (https://kawasaki.com.au/shop/motorcycles/touring/2017-1400gtr/)

But now those sons of guns have come up with....

NINJA H2 SX SE

Yep a supercharged H2 based touring motorcycle   :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Well, it doesn't have shaft drive or electric screen but it's got everything else plus added lightness compared to a GTR.
and it WILL get you there faster. :)

Seriously check it out !

Still only allowed to do 100kph Mick. Maybe 110kph in some places where it's deemed 'extra safe'

Had a good read of the link, certainly sounds the biz alright.  It's an impressive machine alright. Very nice.

Wonder how the seating position is for anyone taller than Notty?  Picking I'd look too big on it & so would Blubber & Tall Man.

Yeah the rider size could be the issue.  Perhaps a GTR would be a more sensible option....

Perhaps this engine in a GTR chassis/fairing even better....

Perhaps because I have no $$$ it doesn't matter. :)

Isn't there a Lotto draw on Saturday Mick?  Then you could have both (and a new mower)

I've heard of them, no first hand experience of them though, so can't add much really, except to say I don't qualify.           Naturally.

If you gave me one I would say "thank you" but if you wanted me to pay for one there is no chance.  :whatever:

I wonder how quickly it empties the tank when you give some beans? On the autobahn, of course.

Fun fact: at top speed, a Bugatti Veyron will empty its 26 gallon tank in 12 minutes.

I just hope it stirs suzuki up as currently suzuki only seam to want to keep punting the same old stuff as they have for years.
Yamaha and kawasaki are doing really well just now and triumph are cornering there chosen parts of the markets.
Suzuki seam out in the cold with no real direction on updating the range.

Have the same problem, had the seat on my tiger sport raised by 1 1/2 inches and could still easily get my feet flat on the ground.

Must be a Welsh thing - I have never bumped my head on a doorway, even in the smallest house in Britain  (Conwy)
