Title: SJ4000
Post by: KiwiCol on Monday, 05 February 2018, 06:10 PM
I buggered my wee GoPro (Chinese rip off) camera the other week. The mini usb port fell to bits, now I can't charge it. Upshot is I brought another one, same as what Seth uses, SJ4000. I've drilled a couple of holes in the case & elongated them to allow the usb cable to plug in whilst it's inside the case.  I did this with the other one as well, works good & plugs in to the usb charging plug mounted on the handlebars. I've got the same 32gb card in it & with it plugged in I can get 7 hrs recording.  I just download at night & clear the card & I'm ready for the next day.

Couple of pics of it.

Yes, that's a Froudy special in the background . . .

Good camera for the money..Had mine 5 years now and haven't had any problems with it :onya:

I take it the "Froudy special" refers to the large glass of alcohol?? :imrgreen: :imrgreen:

I have similar camera which i have mounted on the dash of the car so outer case not needed and thus usb lead to lighter socket, but word of caution, my battery melted!

Have ordered 4 new ones from fleabay for under €10 but I would ensure the fuse you use on the bike is small just in case.

Ps, nice job on the case, I will be copying for the bike
