Post by: Kiwifruit on Thursday, 01 February 2018, 09:59 AM
So the Brollie Dolly gets the axe from Formula 1 podiums and the grid.
What the hell else is there to watch in that class of racing...... no passing thats for sure !!  :whatever:

F1 is boring with or without brolly dollies..Moto GP isn't much better. Haven't watched either for years.

IOM TT however IS worth watching. Proper balls out lunatic racing action. It doesn't need brolly dollies to make it work :boogie:
Just watch the sidecar racing from 3:20...They have balls the size of very large water melons :imrgreen: :imrgreen:

The leftie neo-feminists at work.

I wonder if anyone asked those girls if THEY wanted to lose the job?

Yeah, I figured not.

If you're not racing and you're not a mechanic, you don't need to be on the grid.

I don't see the young Ladies being forced to hold the brollie's at gunpoint. They most likely get paid. Heaven forbid they may even enjoy it.
Its just sad that so much emphasis is put on something so trivial when we have so many more pressing issues in society.

My thoughts are.
Yes, they are not necessary or actually do anything, but they are not hurting anyone & is part of there source of income.
They are not asking for people to stick up for their rights etc etc, but once again, the PC idiots have to take it on themselves to stand up for people who are happy with what they are doing and now lose their jobs.
These PC morons really give me the sh:ts

"PC idiots", "PC morons", some strong words there.

Maybe we should put it in perspective. Nobody ran a big campaign against this, there wasn't anyone chained to railings or throwing themselves under a speeding F1 car. All that happened is that the new owners decided it wasn't in keeping with the kind of image they wanted, that's all.

Fashions and attitudes change, I don't have any problem with it.

"All that happened is that the new owners decided it wasn't in keeping with the kind of image they wanted, that's all"
And i wonder why that is  :whistling:

They are entitled to do what ever they want, but just my opinion, as the PC movement in general is driving me Crazy.

So in the future it may possible that when it rains in Sepang or when it's 50,000deg C in the shade in Qatar, rain/shade for the racers that risk their lives each time they take to track will look like this... http://www.cyclenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Ducati-Crew.jpg?x40615

I watch MotoGP for the racing, balls out courage and insane late braking, and oh, the grid girls always look great and add to the glamour.

Let's hope that for the time being at least, MotoGP keeps things how they are..

I do actually feel sorry for the girls. When I worked in Warrington I had many part time staff, one, who shall not be named, would often come and see me to get a shift off as she had what she called "Bimbo work". She could earn £250 a day (this was around 30 years ago) for standing and smiling around cars, bikes, whatever the show was, it paid her rent and everything else whilst studying. She is now a pilot in the RAF.

You certainly don't want to shake hands with the German national football coach (Jogi Löw)

Millions have witnessed where his fingers go, even in front of the cameras. Must have had quite an itch :rofl2:
