Hi all new to the forum bought my 14 a 2006 in mint condition with 17000 on the clock back in august after wanting one for years !
and i have to say i love it warts and all , i have a tiger 955i as well as my winter bike as i cant bring my self to ride the 14 on the salt riden roads of winter.
But im looking forward to putting some miles on it next summer in the meantime some mods and light customisation , and im looking forward to learning more about the 14 and getting to know so like minded owners . :)

Gidday mate, welcome along.
Welcome to the virtual bible mate :onya:
Welcome aboard
Welcome mate from the real best place downunder.
Welcome!
Welcome.
Yes unless very well protected the 14 will melt like a slug in salt.
I have toured Scotland a few times on my 14, with wife and full luggage too, and it works great up there. Had a mate, former Yamaha employee and experienced rider, follow us once on his BMW RT tourer in Scotland and he admitted he had to work hard to try to keep up (couldn't quite manage it) and could not understand how I could ride the 14 like a 250. Explained it did take time to get the set up spot on but after that It was one hell of a road bike in day to day real world use.
Welcome
Bienvenue! :boogie2:
Croeso :smile2:

Or certain bits thereof anyway.
the rest of this part of scotland eat sheep like you upside down folk :stir:
We eat anything Seth! Hell, the 'locals' even ate each other only 160 odd years ago.

Hi Shane, Although not happy with you muscling in on my forum handle :furious:

Hi Shane. BTW I have no idea wtf I'm doing here ... ie posting or uploading or whatever. Anyway I'm also new here. I got my 02 plate 1400 in September 2017 .. mint condition and good miles on the clock for an almost 16 year old bike 26000+ .. I'm owner number 9 and got it with some excellent add ons.

That's been my observation! Also the forum contains loads of information nobody here gets uptight if that question has been answered somewhere on the forum before. In that case you'll get a link to that info.
I do find the forum search function a bit lacking. You get often more results when just typing into the browser address field:
site:gsx1400owners.org/forum_test/ followed by the search term(s)

Don't get fooled by that Trumpet owner stuff. Barmy really knows his way around the 14. And around the forum. Think he is our main "Link-Provider"

True, and its not limited to this forum. A mate runs a forum using VBulletin software (a commercial product) and has the same issue. No idea why.....
@VladTepes You are right about it not being better on other forums. The reason is that they don't have the algorithms as google or, to a lesser degree, other search-specialized companies have.

5th Triumph and second Tiger........... why don't they fix them instead of just giving you another one ?
