Fit external high pressure filter. Job totally done then. Tagged in fuel section.

given that my bike was sat for years the inside of the tank went.. 'bad' so even after cleaning and scrubbing and whatnot my teabag just isnt right, its almost like its kind of melted if you know what i mean.. still works but i dont think its completely right.

and cheers Seth

The suggestion has been made that I check my teabag filter... so, where is it - on the fuel pump pick-up inside the tank I assume ?
Anyone in Aus know the best place to get a replacement? Or best (and cheapest) method of cleaning?)

edit: Don't worry  :boogie:

fuel pump pick up is the small hose in the pic (goes from rear of the tank to bottom of the fuel pump) and in 2nd pic where i added an inline filter to assist the teabag filter.
i got my spares from aliexpress a Chinese web page sellinh loads of stuff.
they dont list for the gsx1400 but they do on for the gsx1000 (look the same) 5 filters for £7 posted.I'll check part numbers are edit this post.

The link below is for gsxr1000 teabags
Just check on robinsons part finder page
Can confirm they are the same parts.
(They have updated/replaced the gsx1400 part number with the same part number as the gsxr1000 one)

An inline filter will help reduce that .
To be fair mine looked just like that but cleaned up like new with a good wash with a high pressure can of carb cleaner from inside and out .
So if you still have it clean it up and keep as a spare .
