Wet n windy today, can't get the boat out & too miserable to go quad biking, so what's a guy to do?
Down to the pub for a sample of the local brew.
you need a bigger glass. youre drinking ponies, need a schooner. :smile2:
Sweet :onya:
mmmm. . . . Blow Hole Steam Beer - is this the reason you were sleeping in a field matey
@grog - they're only 500ml bottles, so a schooner would empty it in 1 hit. AND they're horrendously expensive, was just trying them. Ok beer, but better beers around & not stupid prices. We buy beer from supermarket, cost around $1.50 - $2.00 for a 330ml stubbie. Craft beers in the 500ml size cost $5.00 - $9.00. These 2 above cost $28! One & only time for me. I don't mind paying for beer but I hate being robbed for it. (Wonder if I've got some Scottish in me?)
@Del - no mate, had the beers after I'd ridden home & Mrs drove us back up in the car. I'll have a beer if I'm just out on an afternoon jaunt, but will completely abstain if I'm doing big distances & long hours. Same as boating, plenty of time after you're done & home safe to get into as many as you want.
agree Col, dont mind paying but hate getting ripped. no craft beer for me. went to james squire pub in melbourne. mate bought first two scooners, i had to reply, 26 bucks. wtf. vats where they make it 10 metres away, cant blame freight. blame greed and the so called privelige of being in a famous pub. load of crap i think.
