When working with carbon fibre and resins make sure there is sufficient ventilation . . . . . . . . . was in the garage for a few hours working away at some overlays and kind off forgot to open the door - my bad but Im kind peeved that not one of the floating elephants gave me the heads up :P :P :P :P
doh
you be careful there buddy
The problem is, of course, that if you open the garage door - the elephants escape.
And recapturing flying elephants is no easy task.
I've actually seen the same elephants among other daft things while I've been taking tramadol. Lol

They can do a lot of damage... keep that door shut.
Ha same thing with fibreglass kit, I messed up the mix and left it for a minute, came back to it and it was smoking and set like rock 😩
I have never experienced this level of 'high' (not for lack of trying) i have always had zero effect right until the pass out stage.. Its quite upsetting.. I am currently on high doses of pain meds apparently enough to knock out your average joe and i am still going to work normally.. The only way i know i am overdosing on the meds i when i wake up lol.
Sorry to hear you are needing strong pain meds.
I never had much luck with pain meds which have "recreational" side effects. Only made me drowsy but barely touched the pain. On the other side, the feeling smoked grass gave me was great. That too was different than what others experience with it. Instead of getting drowsy and sleepy, it made me wound up, AND increased my pain. Go figure. I just learned to deal with the pain other than popping a pill or smoking.
This thread got a bit less jovial eh...
Mate of mine has to have regular ketamine injections into his spine for pain.
He's not a fan, of the injections OR the pain.
Still that's what happens when a big arse semi trailer runs over you eh.
Motorbike + shitty road repair = fall.
Fall + Truck = OUCH.
It could be said that your mate was lucky while being unlucky. Wonder if he feels that way.
I understand that he is no fan of these injections. I was scheduled to have 10 injections (not ketamine) into a back joint. After 4 sessions I couldn't stomach any more.
Actually I had an injection there before a few years earlier. That experience was something. I experienced it "visually" as a ball of fire. The doc didn't want to give me the injection but he did when I told him I was in dire need to be doped fit for the visit of my wonderful daughter I hadn't seen in years. Being separated from her is another type of pain, the worst pain in my life.
I wont bore you with my issues sufice to say that i have a skelatal disease that will see me in a wheelchair eventually.. The pain is undescribable and the injections, pills and forthcoming surgeries will mean that i get to ride my bikes for a few years to come which makes it all worth it in my eyes...
Due to the type of disease it is, my spine is never more comfortable that when i am sat on a bike leant slightly forward... happy days.. When its time for me to go i think it will be on my bike over a cliff lmfao.. :smitten:  :cruisin:

my dad, 70 years, has got that too.
After losing weight ( - 20kg ), eating healthier and being more active , he no longer needs insulin injections. just pills.
(Not) amazing what we can do ourselves to influence our life.
Time for me to pick/step up my sport hobbies (lifting, walking, bicycle). Got sidetracked end of April when getting my 14. It needed (???) lots of TLC. BTW, riding pleasure increases the fitter I am.
I think you're right there Andre, I had an 'a' in the 'fitter' instead of an 'i' for a while over Christmas, but getting the 'i' back now.
Man did I put it on over the break! 6 - 7Kg!! Too much beer & too much food. I'd like to get back to 120Kg (or fairly close anyway) which is a long way off yet. Peaked at 142.3 that I know of.
I think many, if not most, of us know how fast the weight goes on. Most commonly 1 liter beer has 500+- kcal. And don't be fooled, like me, that alcohol-free beer has less. There are beers with "only" 250 kcal but still have 5% alc. and alc-free with a whooping 550. Always thought beer's calories come from alcohol, not so. In G we call beer "liquid bread".
If you are able to burn it off you can eat and drink as much as you want. Over 15 months working with pick, shovel, saw, ax, etc. (greatly enjoyed work like that), while being fed plenty by my sister with mediterranean cuisine and the occasional liter-bottle of San Miguel, I lost 23 kilos. Came back to Germany and within 3 months added 10 kg due to lack of activity.
