Does anyone happen to know the internal diameter of the standard GSX Handle Bar ??
I am looking into getting a posh bar end weight / spacer for the hand guards made and I would like it to be a snug fit into the bar end by say 5mm.

only the early 14's have open ends to the bars the later models have welded in bosses to fit the bar ends .
not sure what the id is on the bars that are open

I don't know the ID, but it is a nominal 22 mm OD handle bar. Easy to measure though :cheesy:
Only the K2 bar is open. Checked on my K3 handle bar (on a K2). Both ends are different depending on how the welding is done!!! The one end piece I had to file down to 3-4 mm. The other one fit right away but it is at the most 5 mm.
Speedy, not sure/dont know if you have open bars or later with threaded welded bit. mine are the weld/thread type. have 5 to 7 diff. bar end weights, standard to heaps ive acquired. all different weight. makes no difference to vibration which ever i choose to fit. standard were heaviest by far. i bought some longer stainless allen key bolts, work with all of them. i have bar end mirrors, been on a long time. i use aluminium crush washers to tighten them up, actually are sump plug washers. the rubber bit that goes in bars, mainly cut it off and tossed it. mirrors never move, been at stupid speeds. lots on here dont like stock bars but i do. just work for me.

Mine have the welded in threaded bit for the bar end weight to fix to....
Had another thought yesterday (Dangerous I know)..
I have managed to source some 22mm washers..
I will fit say half a dozen each side (with my longer Allen bolts and then move each handle bar grip outwards so the actual grip covers up the washers.
The washers are used as spacers so that I don't have to bend in the hand guards to fit.. Hard to explain bit I know what I am trying to do..
I went out for the first time since fitting the guards and the temperature was 3C !
Was out for about 3 hours in total. Hands were fine but god my bloody toes were frozen.
A couple of the other guys I was with were blowing on there fingers and putting their hands onto the engines to warm their hands up.
I did none of this so I can only think the guards DO make quite a difference !

I have a Saab and that has heated seats which I admit to using when the car is iced up..
They warm you up far quicker than waiting for the heater to start supplying warm air !
i once went to a no start saab, had heated seats. i turned up, husband was exstatic at his trick on wife. was over 30 day. she insisted on sitting in car, hed turned her heated seat on. sweating like a pig, great trick

I cant see my Ozzy cousins having much use for heated seats (but what do I know)..
I bought the Saab because it was very cheap (due to them not being made any more). I have had it 18 months and its Never given a hint of trouble.. Parts are VERY easy to get despite what my doom and gloom mates warned me.. I know this because I checked before buying it.
I love the seats.. VERY comfortable.. Along with Volvo, Saab were noted for having the best seats for people with back problems..
I dont have back problems but apparently they were designed by osteopaths..
I had heated seats in my 94 Range Rover. Never used them for anything other than toasting unsuspecting passengers on hot days 😁😁😁
