Title: Hello from NZ (New old crew member)
Post by: blgdave on Thursday, 07 December 2017, 08:09 AM
Hi Folks,

Been a rider of GX14 since 2001/2 and was one of the early members of the GSX1400 Org community when I was n the UK (Whats all that chocolate frog shite about?). Sold the old girl when we first moved to New Zealand in 2003 under much duress. But then spent a few years away and rode about on all kinds of machines and eventually back onto a 1200 Bandit or two when I moved back to NZ in 2010. Could not settle so eventually searched for and found a nice Final Edition that ticked the boxes I was after. Much better!

So been back in the seat of the 14 for a few years now and probably spoke to a few of you folks through the FB pages? I thought I was already a member of this website but turs out not. My bad!

Well, that is me so see you out there!

Cheers
Dave

Cheers all. I see a few familiar names on here already. I will have to see whats been going on about the place.

Having a few running issues with the bike this past week, but hoping its just down to neglect and stale fuel. Giving a good blast today with some injector cleaner in and fresh fuel as first fingers crossed trial run. Bike sat outside work now in the sun waiting for me to finish. I will report back on other threads on progress. Probably just the big girl letting me its been left out of the picture for a while and pissed off with the Italian fancy pants bikes that have been getting attention!!

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome all.

Home is in sunny Northland of New Zealand. Planning some trips out on the bike this summer for look out for picture updates to warm the folks up in the Northern hemisphere!

Anyone following on FB page will have seen my drunken updates on Saturday when I fixed my rough running issues!

Cheers

:welcome: Love the Blue and white 14s and the fairing looks good too, don't seem to be many fairings like that available in UK ?

Cheers. Must admit I am in two minds about the look of the nose fairing. BUt for riding behind it is excellent and would certainly miss it. I am leaving it there for now but have collected all of the parts to convert back to normal headlight in future if need be.
