After making and installing jack up kit, tail tidy was a MUST! As you already noticed I just love to make things myself so I had to :stir:.. Didn't take pictures of sheet bending, drilling holes for turn signals, cutting plastics...but you'll get what I did using 1mm sheet metal.

If ony I could do my own mods I'd save a fortune!!

Spent few days on net looking for best looking fender eliminator- tail tidy. Found Agras from Japan best desing for my taste and tried to copy it. The one you made is simple and effective, less material used and probably easier to make. Nice one mate! :onya:

By now I made tail tidy, chain oiler, jack up kit, oil cooler cover, 12v socket, luggage rack, modified seat (taller) and standard exhaust (opened it). Also made front and rear paddock stand. For all that mods spent cca 50€ and used materials I already had laying around. I am not showing off, just want to give an idea how much money saved for fuel and maintenance plus the joy of making things and that has no price! :smitten:

I love making my own bits too. It can be frustrating at times, but you get a lot of satisfaction when it all comes good.
Here is a tail tidy I made for my Bandit when I changed the seat unit to an R1 ...
I've always preferred making my own parts too, I'd like to say it's because I believe in being unique but it's often far more down to not having the money to buy off the shelf parts lol!
My old 14 tail tidy was made by cutting down the original mudguard then making the number plate brackets from off cuts of ally, the stainless trim that the indicators sit on was out of the scrap bin too. Other than buying the indicators all I had to buy was the stainless bolts to put it together with and that came to about 8-p :)
I've just done the back end of the Bonnie too, Found a left over trailer mudguard in the back of my shed that I scrounged for another project years ago and never used so started by chopping it in half. Next was the tail light, a replica old Lucas one which was again a left over from another project but I did have to buy a second hand grab rail off Ebay for £50 to replace the god-awful rack the bike came with. I also had to buy the cheapie indicators from M&P but made the mounts from more bits of left over ally. Add in some rattle can satin black and a few wiring connectors and all in all it cost me about £75 :)
