hi, stripped several teeth from the large starter clutch ring, how does one get the starter clutch off?
ive removed the cover, took out small idler gear and pin.
fished out several broken teeth, now need to get the starter clutch out.
iam thinking big nut and puller?
once removed is it obviose how the ring seperates from the clutch?
cheers in advance.
im not sure but if like old suzuki's they were bolted on from behind onto the fly wheel.
You need a 20 mm x 1.5 bolt style flywheel puller (Suzuki part number 09930-30450) like this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motion-Pro-08-0085-Flywheel-Puller-M20-X-1-5-R-H-External-Thread/381944985664?epid=171214226&hash=item58edb1f840:g:nOYAAOSw241Yj~gf (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motion-Pro-08-0085-Flywheel-Puller-M20-X-1-5-R-H-External-Thread/381944985664?epid=171214226&hash=item58edb1f840:g:nOYAAOSw241Yj~gf)
and something to hold like an angled wrench (Suzuki Part number 09930-44530)
HI, yea ive seen the bolts. supose you just screw in the bolt till it pops off, cheers will give it a go.
Flywheel off :clapping:, waiting for starter ring to arrive, bolt did the trick andre :notworthy:
