I think radiator mounted ... but any potential issues for the wiring with heat from the rad?

ARH

the wires are suspended above the radiator and not actually on it.
The actual LED is mad from alloy and so would dissipate the remaining heat that got through the bracket.

There are for and against points for both locations..
The horn mounted method offers a neater solution regarding hiding the wires...

The Radiator mounted option is probably more visible to car drivers because there is more separation between the headlight beam and the LED beams. In other words the triangle is bigger.

i could only order 4 at right price. maybe both places. not really, i prefer cooler mounting.agree, will heat worry them. i once fitted led into headlight, only lasted a short time before it stopped working. went back to normal globe, still going. time will tell. they forgot to fit park globe in my headlight, had a dimple but not ever fitted/drilled out from new.i just drilled hole, old org people said not possible to drill hole, i did.

Grog..

The last 4 cars I have owned I have fitted LED side light bulb replacements as in the link below...

These were fitted inside the headlight and never blew..
I have had my current car for 18 months and the LED's are still working perfectly.

Maybe LED's are more hardy now, I dont know..

But on the bike the little heat from the stainless radiator guard would surely me offset by the wind cooling from the air ??

Right...
Just been out and fitted the brackets to the horn mounts and wired them up (temporarily)..
The photo shows its errrr a bit underwhelming.
To be fair it was almost dark last night and its possible that may have made a difference to how bright they appear.
I suppose I should do another photo around the same time as we did last night so we are comparing like with like..

I dont know... The troubles I go to for you lot !

This photo taken at 5.30 as the light was just beginning to fade...
I will live with it how it is for a few days or so and then review if I move to the radiator or not..

Looking at the front view, I'm wondering if the brightness might overwhelm the indicators a bit from some angles.

+1, as you are doing this for safety reasons, i would test them in both day/night conditions to make sure it doesn't detract from the blinkers in that spot.
I think it looks neater there, but think the radiator mount would be more effective.

I am here to protect thee"..

Behold the indicator doth shine through..
And I saw that it was good!
