Heard good things about the Avon Spirit ST. Anyone got experience with this tire on the 14?
No,
Thought I would answer this to keep your topic in sight ;)
sorry me nither i started using pirrelli angel gt's and never looked back .
If we're gonna talk tyres, someone should put a good word in for Maxxis

i would never put maxxis tyres on my bike .
i have riden a 1250 bandit with them on in the wet and that was enough for me to say never again .

That's odd then, they work quite good on my forklift! :stir: Thought someone might stick up for them - won't be me though! :rofl2:
No, but im exactly the same as Seth. Have mt first set of Pirelli angel gt's on & will be staying with these from here on. Big difference.
 Pirelli Angel GT "A", up-spec'd version for heavier bikes with heavier blokes LMAO I also use Metzler O Spec on my BMW RT.
Pirelli gives good feedback in dry or wet and seem to last for long mileage IMO.
Had a bad experience with Avons on my Pan Euro so now a bit distrustful of them.
Been running Michelin Pilot Road 2s on the 14 for years now with great results, very happy with them.
Tried the Pilot Road 4 on a 1250GT Bandit and they were good too
Pan now has Battlax BT023, the GT version and I am very impressed with them.
I think it is tough to find a bad tyre nowadays but they do keep developing and getting better usually.
pirelli, i wrote to italy, said just normal angel gt for 14. never a prob. with mine, new set very close. pr2 to angel is a big difference. grip is same, straight line, tram tracking etc is a major improvement. nearly 20 th ks on angels, pr2 did 15.
Yes I have a set on my k7 have used storms for years the new spirits are great wet and dry they have guickend up the steering but give a very neutral feel though the bar's love them
