Am working in the shed today........ not a cloud in the sky.
I can hear bikes approaching through the twisties from a long distance away. Then they shoot past with a good head of steam up.
Warmer weather is showing its face :onya:
It's already here on the Central Coast has been a dry winter :)
Saw a couple of days at work where it was down to 8 or 9 degrees C early on, but normally warm once the sun was up. It's been quite mild this year.
Its always nice after my 40 UK winters!
-4 for us tonight, got a while before I reckon springs on the way.
Well, nearly a month on & the wattle tress are all out in yellow flower - covering everything in yellow dust too!
Yep a few trees down this way are in flower, warmer daze are a coming soon!
Pleased about that Col. We have blossom on a few trees, but the wind is doing its best to remove them.
I've spent some time today making some channels to take the water away. We have 60,000 litres in 2 tanks and both are overflowing.
Has'nt stopped raining for 3 days.
Geez, you should build a pond to store the excess! You could use it in the summer to water the garden or wash the vehicles.
Its raining in Scotland . . . . . . .Its been raining a lot recently :smiley-music002: :smiley-music002:
So this rain in Scotland, bit unusual isn't it? Do you put this down to global warming then? :confused1:
were praying for rain, just had none for months.
Its been a bloody dry winter in Sydney's Hills area, that's for sure. Have needed to water the lawn & plants on many occasion's, but only done it once or twice and you can tell :whatever:
I dont buy the global warming thing. Didnt Al Gore make a fist full, sorry i meant a container ship full of cash carbon credits trading ?? I think a lot of what we are told is bullshit. OK so its really wet here at the moment. Parts of Aussie are in drought, probably nothing new really.
Just not ideal.
It is a fact that the climate is changing. It's been changing for hundreds of million years. What the heck, even the magnetic poles keep changing.
Going on a run to reduce CO2 emissions has increased diesel sales in Germany, which in turn increased nitrous oxide emissions. Any time you start screwing with one variable in a complex system, you affect other variables.
It is also a fact that the world population is growing and growing. According to my favorite biology professor this will regulate itself suddenly to near extinction. But when is anyone's guess. He presented a natural law that has been proven over and over again. At some point any population (regardless if bacteria or humans) that reaches exponential growth, will outstrip resources and the capacity of waste elimination.
