Title: PCIII USB power supply
Post by: Rufus on Wednesday, 26 July 2017, 08:52 PM
Hello,
I have a PCIII USB, my laptop only sees the PC when the bike is running.
When the bike is switched on it will briefly connect, the PC lights cycle then go out and the same when the kill switch is switched to the run position.
As a result I can't update the firmware or do a throttle position reset etc., I can upload/download maps tho.
I guess it's a wiring issue but not sure where the supply for the PCIII is hooked into.
Thanks

You need one of these.

The power socket is beside the USB socket.

Sounds like they used the fuel pump wire.
It whirs a short time after turning the ignition on and stops then until the engine is started.

Yep, that makes sense Blubber.

Monarch- the 9v supply is it wired like the pic attached?
looking at the back of the connector with the clip on the top.
+ to the top right
- to the bottom left
If it is, I can make one up, found one on eBay but £14 for a bit of plastic seems a bit steep, to me anyway.
