Not completed yet but looking very good.
Oh now thats different . . . . . . personally im not sure on it but can appreciate work thats gone into it
wow, that's different, don't know if it's something I could live with but it's unique for sure!
I was looking on this picture for a long time, trying to understand, do I like it or not...
And finally decided - I do ☺️
Visually it's very soft and gentle. Even too much soft (something from 50s). But, that's the point. It's completely 'sleeper', and looking on this, nobody will think, what a powerful machine it is...
Only thing, it's too nice to ride it every day...
Nice work, Andre!
Thanks northern, BUT it is not my work. I stick with my original silver beauty!
Agree with the 50s. My first thought was retro.

in this case - compliments to builder!
Horrible .... but it's different & I'm sure the owner likes it. Huge improvement over black though.
Why?? What have I done to him?
ummmmm - dreadful sorry
I don't want to knock the guys' efforts in creating this, there's a hellava lot of work gone into that, but, to my eyes, it's just bloody horrible.
Its a NO from me......!!
someone spent a lot of time and effort on that bike
while it's not my taste it's a very good job they've done and if they like it all well and good
What has been seen can not be unseen.
What first hit me was the colour, and my first thought was "hell no".
Then I thought "Who on earth would paint a bike brown".
The very next word that went through my head was "Hesketh (http://www.trademotorcycles.com.au/hesketh-vampire-collectable/)"
Then I went and had another look, disregarding the colour scheme, and really not all that much has changed - few cosmetic things here and there. So not too bad, just not my particular cup of tea.

I must look into a "dislike" button...
Oh look here it is.. but for some reason it's labelled "ban user" :admin: :stir: :rofl3:
I do like the sliver engine
The brown colour is not the point (hesketh), the point is how to use it. Its a crime against eyes. And probably meant to be a criminal act.
Yes Vlad, i thought Snapeys caustic comment was most cutting.....bitch !!
What a waste of a 1400
Like others have said, for me not the spirit of the 14 but Roger Moore (rip)
would have loved it!! 👍

I actually thought Pete hit the nail on the head personally :stir: :happy1:
I raced a Triton that I painted Florentine bronze & beige that looked sensational so I really shouldn't rubbish the 1400 pictured. I worked for an air equipment company at the time & they were the colours of their valves which looked good, so a few litres of said paint was donated to the paint Snapeys bike cause. Maybe because the Triton had minimal paint it looked good but there's a lot of paint on the 14 & a darker brown might look better. Swap the colours around too.
Good on the bloke for trying something different & if he's happy with it then that's the main thing.
Thank God I read your whole post Pete - for a minute there I thought you raced a Nissan ute.... :rofl2:
lots of work on the brown 14, he shouldve asked someone. horrible.
Not to my taste. Puss :whatever:
WOW, the Anglo-Saxon taste is quite different from the German's. The responses on the german forum were just the opposite.

I don't think taste ( or the lack of it :stir:) is country based. :whistling:
I can appreciate his effort, just don't like the outcome. I am no purist, I like modifications but the colour scheme is a bit to chocolate / latte for this "hipster" :happy1:
Didn't think that taste would be a country thing either, just the statistical samples let me think otherwise. The other thought is that fellow forum members base their expressed opinions on other things than their taste. These "other things" can kill any statistic. :notworthy:
It's all a matter of perspective...
