Title: Headlight
Post by: grog on Wednesday, 05 July 2017, 07:24 PM
anyone have some clues for me. start my bike and sometimes headlight takes 20/30 seconds to come on. high/low beam same. passing switch same. fuses all ok. when it works is perfect. park light always lights up. worries me it might cut out in dark sometime, never has. fairly simple wiring, anyone know the connectors location from bulb to fuse box. no relay in diagram, is that correct? help appreciated. thanks.

Corrosion on the light bulb itself?
If it's a K2 .. bad connection in the light switch?
Onwards connection of the RH switch block to the main loom?

all just guesses  :whatever:

Do you have a voltage meter?

Disconnect the globe, connect the measuring wires to the headlight connector.

See what voltage you get.

Maybe the starter relais sticks causing a voltage drop?
