Fabrication and construction commencing tomorrow.
7 by 6 metre partially enclosed awning off front of existing shed and 7 by 3.6 metre mezzanine floor extension to existing :)
I will be following this!
Keep the updates coming.
I have a 6m x 9m (20 x 30 foot?) "Bikes only" shed and a good size carport but can't go much bigger in the city. Council aren't happy It's one of a few reasons I'm panning to move somewhere rural. I alway's thought a shed should be bigger than a house.
Nice.
I have no shed, nor room for a shed. It sucks.
Bit of a contrast with my old place with a 6x9 shed and acres of concrete parking....
Irish, you could do a bit of a cull out there & make a bit of room? Lawrie for starters would have half of it given a chance. :stir:
The existing shed is 13m by 7m all bikes. Four bays (roller doors) 1 with mezz floor for parts, that being extended to half the shed.
I'm not rural just the good old Aussie quarter acre block that you can't get anymore.
House is bigger than shed, see views from back of house and front of shed. It was better when I owned the sheds as well to the left over fence another 13m by 6m but it had to go when me and the ex split but I have moved on after that great expense when you have 4 kids.
Massive!!
900 square meters Col.

Come on Col, a bloke needs a project or two
Irish would be over 200 years old before he got all those projects done! :rofl2:

Or invite some spanner friendly friends over for some tinker time in the shed.
Share some bears, some stories and your project slowly progresses :smoke:
Whilst that sounds like a great idea Blubber. In my experience the only gain is in the pile of empties !!
Mmmmh.... Bikes and beers. :smitten:

in sheds rock
Yes I know we're your coming from on this , my shed 6x6 is way to small so I've got round the good goood wife and have planning permission to expand yepie to a 10x10 so loads more room for bikie as she calls it to rest in the winter :onya:
Some progress this morning, time for a few beers.

Funny story, my Wife wanted a little bike to get around on (no licence, even longer story) so she wanted $1500 to spend on an electric bike and safety gear so she bought the little yellow electric bike in the foreground and some new bedsheets...yes, I was a little baffled by the bedsheets too. Happy Wife, Happy life so another $500 and she purchased a light weight open face helmet, some gloves and shoes and etc.
As it turns out those tiny little rims and shitty little tyres do not make a good combination on the road and she went arse over kettle off a curb. She rode it home parked it the garage and there it sits, awaiting its next victim!

Thought i'd use some of these photos to suggest that we have enough shed space to expand the bike family.
Her response........why, you've only got one arse !!!
Hmmm, that didnt go so well
You could use this old comeback
So have you but you've got more than 1 pair of draws, you've only got 2 ears but more than I pair of ear rings :whistling:
My wife knows I'm having a bigger shed and more bikes when we move.
We have two rules now that will be carried onto the next place.
1... It must fit in the shed, no bikes around the yard or in the house, fine, I'm having a bigger shed.
2... I buy them with my money, not the mortgage / housekeeping account. I'm fine with this too.
When I had 4 registered bikes (and a couple of projects) my wife came with me and encouraged me to buy a 5th.
My wife isn't fussed about bikes.
I've always wanted a camel, she's OK'd me to have Alpaca's but the camel is currently something we can't agree on. I have been researching this for a while, its do-able, I'm just trying to guage her reaction when I turn up with one!
FFS Tony... a camel???? We could take the right hump with you :happy1: :rofl2:
I thought it was bad enough talking about Triumphs here but camels???

EXCUSE ME ARH? One can go off people y'know
Put this up as background for your PC-screen and see how she reacts. Women like pretty things :stir:
Ooooh.....Painful looking seats.
Tony, a camel? What ya gonna do with a camel? Can't be to ride as you've got plenty of exciting rides there already. A pom who wants a camel?? Righto, UK contingent, out of all you lot, who has ever had the desire to have a camel in their back yard? (Stoli, you're exempt from this . . .) Maybe is a Lawrence of Arabia thing, or maybe they're just good to eat, your own camel, fatten 'er up & have plenty of fresh camel in the fridge & freezer?
It definitely is a different thing to be wanting a camel in ones back yard.
You're full of surprizes Tony.
a very pretty camel it is, some women prefer two humps, mine prefers none at all.
That's just subterfuge Grog, they all prefer 2, truth be known. So I've heard anyway.
I don't know, some gentle music and soft lighting :whistling:
Jeeez!! That looks just like the office lady at work!
Been looking at them and talking to folk for years.
Owning one makes no sense at all but they always make me mile...

Much we own doesn't make sense... but we love it. Hope you get a good natured camel. Wouldn't be surprised if your wife will want one too then :smitten:
rounded up by cops for being a single hump, very good. should always be a double hump.
Well, looks like the UK guys aren't even reading this thread.
What can we say, bloke wants a camel :whatever:
How many camels can you fit in an 42 square meter area!
Wish that thing with the red lippy had kept its Burqa on......no wonder the blokes dress them like a letterbox when out in public.
You know you fancy her, keep going back for a look :whistling:
Rule #7
Thou shall not covet thy neighbours camel.
The elephant asked the camel: "Why do you have your breasts on your back?"
The camel clearly irritated by the outrage of modesty replies: "What a silly question from someone who has a dick on his face."
For Tony
Must have been a serious Camel accident at the shops today. When I got there, there was only some debris left wrapped around the tree and gaurd rail. It was reported the Camel was taken into a nearby shop for surgery !!
(Sorry Tony the scene is quite graphic.)
Butter Camel on the menu for the next month!
:rofl2: col... you beat me to it 👍
Hard work this retirement, dug a big hole for a 100mm post put up beam this morning for my new awning :)
Carport is looking bigger

Good luck if you can, there is a pedestrian gate on the right of pic into mate next door. This weekend full colourbond panel coming out so he can bring a car and bike trailer through. One and a half bays cleared for his workshop use, in exchange for him looking after all my shit, nothing worth stealing now the Katana is gone only a boring stock 14, V4's GPz's RD's GT's XJ GSX's XR DR and lots of spares.
If that's all that's left in the shed Jeff, I won't waist my time breaking in then
What about that fast Holden combo you have there surely someone would want it?😉
