fork info
although they all look the same and ever model has the same brakes/mudguard and bottom yoke .
the internals are different between models
K2/3/4 are the same
K5/6/7/8 are the same
differences are enough that none of the internals or fork tubes are interchangeable. .
What's a folk tube seth, is that the same as a fork tube

Get off the phone & use a bigger screen & keys! Oldies can't see that good anymore, :coffeescreen:
Or change the font to a 30 point maybe??
I'd be even worse then

You've got my picture up again, there's me mixing up another batch of cookies!
cookies
There is a post on the Aussie Facebook forum about someone receiving a set of K1-K4 fork tubes for a K7 from Brook Suspension, he thinks they are the wrong tubes but Brook Suspension are saying that they are interchangable accross all models and they've sold hundreds without an issue.
K1-K4 fork tubes into a K7 Are they going to fit and work correctly?
they might work but there are differences
mainly the location of the oil transfer hole in at the bottom of the fork on the side .
they do have different suzuki part numbers
normally if interchangeable they list the old part number and say "replaced by later part number" . it doesn't for fork tubes
hope that helps

Thanks Seth.
Any help i whent on the brook site they List the stantions as k1 to k7 no seprate years i bought the paoli one from them last year my old ones where pitted .when they came the oil hole was in a diffrent place .i was told it makes no diffrence so my mechanic put them together and approx a hear later am still a happy bunny so id say all years are interchangeable the oil hole has made no diffrence at all
There is a slight difference in the bottom of them where the inners bolt on - I fitted some to another orgsters bike a couple of years back, the stantions were "all model", his was a K5, when we came to bolt them all together for sure they did do that but the bushes at the bottom were slightly looser than the OEM ones.
However they worked all ok, so is there a difference in the stantions - yes. Does it make any difference (stantions only). Don't think so.
Other parts though such as the sliders etc ARE different and do fit differently
if changing as a pair then maybe you'd get away with it as you have
but they are different for a reason I'd use correct stantions for correct year
i had our forks rechromed as standard stantions are better quality in every area except the chromeplating than aftermarket ones.
I agree OEM are better though - you are bang on there Seth
the rechroming was just over £100 plus postage
was cheaper than aftermarket ones too .
