I have Pazzo's (thanks Barmy)- expensive but safety comes first - not sure how the cheaper Chinese ones will be if you really have to pull hard on them  :smile2:

Been there, done that, wasn't a problem.

Then again - no way of knowing a good one from a bad one really. QC among cheap Chinese goods is not exactly a high priority.

Several mates have had $30 Chinese ones.
Some are very happy. They fit, they work, they are cheap.
They say they will buy the same again and Pazzo's are a rip off.

Others have had bikes that won't start ( lever not triggering clutch switch )
Brakes that drag and overheat.
Screws and fittings work lose / fall out.
Anodising fade, red turned to pink!

Edit: my Gold Pazzo's stand out like a dog's balls. I don't like the "bling".
I stripped them down, put them in paint stripper, gave them a stir,
I soaked them in over cleaner, gave it some working in with a paint brush.
Bastard things are still Gold!
Can't fault Pazzo's anodising.

I don't have money to burn so I bought these short silver levers off flea bay.

They look great, feel great, and swap straight in, no dramas. Just thought I''ll share.

I'm guessing that your referring to my leopard style sheet that they are on.

Didn't everyone go through that stage. I think it was called the eighties.

Just thought I would add my 2cents...... I have pazzo levers on all my bikes. I would not skimp on such an important piece of equipment. If a brake lever snaps or fails at the most critical time the result will most likely be catastrophic. Just my opinion for what it's worth, but I would hate to see injury or worse for the sake of $200 bucks.
Carry on :hat:

Recently fitted a set of Baddog levers to my Tex, really impressed with the quality and fit - and not silly money either. Only available though in black with red adjusters.

Hey Col,
You said "mrs says I'm a tiger in sack"
If she said you were a "tiger in the sack" that would be a compliment. But, she said "tiger in sack" so i think she means, you just thrash around and can't do anything.  :stir: :happy1:

My brake levers are still standard, I'd rather not use them too much and save wearing them out.

my levers are standard. explain why they need to be changed. lots of people change, lots for sale, lots of talk which is better. i just dont understand why. something that ive never had a problem with or wanted to change. reasons are?

Actually come to think of it everything is standard on my bike, feck I am boring. Except for all the touring attachments which I only put on when I go touring.

Range of adjustment on standard levers vs us with shorter fingers grog. There are 6 levels of adjustment on the dog legs (wider range of adjustment distance from the grips), which means I can get all 4 fingers on the lever(s) when pulling them by adjusting the reach to suit my short stubbies, as opposed to 2-3 with standard levers

Thankyou, XL sized hands for me, never thought of smaller needing adjustment.
