Hi guys I'm looking at an exhaust change so I'm busy window shopping - on the bay there's seems to be 2 manufacturers about the same price - delkevic and black widow both do a down pipes with 4 - 2 collector box package for sub £250 - anyone got either of these or is there any horror stories I should hear before committing to part with cash ?

Hi Scotty, you made a timely appearance as I was about to ask the same question :onya:
The Black Widow is not an Option for me as it comes neither with the exhaust covers nor the option of mounting the originals. I like to keep my 14 close to the original character. And character she has!
Both are good, to be honest it will come down to personal choice. I had the Bkack Widow colle tor fitted to standard headers and it was top quality. Delkevic are a respected name - so I think you could proceed with either with confidence.
The only comment I have heard from some is fitting a Black Widow headers to the standard colllector has on some occasions been a bit fiddly, but that's been the exception rather than the rule. If you are fitting a complete header and collector system it should be no issue

Strangely I preferred it without those damn plates, but then I was converting my K7 to a 4into2 not trying to keep a K/2/3/4 looking original.

Nothing strange about that. Likes, preferences, etc. are different and that is a very good thing!!!
I had SBS headers and have changed to Delkevic when I changed to 4-2, the Delkevic did not discolour as quickly as the SBS headers but mine are now fairly discoloured.
The finish on the Delkevic collector looks better than the SBS collector IMO.

Did you run a dyno (get your FI-mapping adjusted) when changing to the Delkevic headers and collector? I am asking because the FI-mixture can be to lean when the inner diameter of the headers and collectors are larger, as is here the case.
