Title: Kawasaki Versus 1000
Post by: Mick_J on Saturday, 20 May 2017, 06:05 PM
Took a versus out for a spin yesterday, what a boring, bland and characterless bike that was.  Did what it was supposed to do I suppose, twist the throttle an it went fast, pull on the brakes and it slowed down, leaned it over for a corner and it went round but a totally forgettable experience, haven't been that bored on a bike since I last rode a Honda.

MJGT, take a honda 1100 for a ride, Versys will be like a gp bike.

Funny you should say that, before I bought the Explorer I took a Versys 1000 for a spin, and my view would have exactly matched yours, did absolutely everything I asked, plenty of performance, but no character.

I had Mrs B on the back for both test rides and when we got back with the Versys (having ridden the Triumph earlier) she asked me which I preferred. The Tex I said. Thank God for that was her reply.

Nuff said!!!

Shame as I expected more from the Kwak. Ho hum never mind.
