Shame really. As it was nice to look on old threads for reference... :cry2:

Shame its gone maybe, but at least Synk (the  :jack: who kept making the empty promises to maintain it and never did) isn't on here (if he was I'd delete/ban him  :admin:)

Frankly I find it hard to forgive him for the way he ended the old org  :furious:

Having said that, this place to me is a much nicer forum and just as nice to browse  :onya:

I was on another Suzuki / general bike forum.
Small group, a bit random but good lads and entertaining and helpful.

Owner "encouraged" everyone to post up a military "Remembrance" post.
When he didn't get enough support he shut the forum down and we lost all the
pics, info, and contact with some folk.

A good indication of someone's character that.

Jeez - that's weird Tony - invite people to post and then close when they don't post what they are 'told' to post?
Never mind I am sure he's happy chatting away and posting to himself....

Yeah!  :whatever:

We have a new forum now, small group of us.
Its slowly drifting away from bikes to just random threads but that's OK.
We're not fussed if its Suzuki's, other brands, cars, biscuits (we like biscuits!)
It was formed because we all weren't welcome on another forum that had
very strict rules on what brand and even what models you could post up !!
(A bit too focused for me... )

"Here's my GSX1400" .... 2 minutes later posts deleted with a warning !

Yes. I did ask when the forum was set up if it was worth having a separate
section for "non- GSX1400's" but it was decided unnecessary.

I'm as passionate about my King as I am my 14 but feel free to tell me to pull
my head in if you like (I've heard it before... ) I guess some folk are more interested in just the 1400 and that's why they are here. Understandable.

Unlike a member on the old forum, I'm happy to talk of each bikes merits but
saying one is better than the other is for trolls and the narrow minded.

One forum I'm on has a "Random Ride Pics" thread.

No restrictions on what bike, just a pic from your ride.
Lots of folk have ride outs that don't need their own thread, but some of the
places and some of the bikes are quite interesting. Just an endless thread of
folk updating random pics. Nice to learn of new places, seasons changing and
bikes that are different.  Its not model focused but I find it interesting.

You carry on Tony, no-one will tell you to "pull your head in", and whilst this forum is 1400 focused, personally I find the talk about other bikes that people own / have owned to make this a more friendly place for discussion (mind you given I've sold my 14 and now have a Triumph, I may be a little biased )

Tony, i like the diversity of threads on here. I have never been involved with any other forum and see no reason to be. The fact that we are all brought together by a common interest in one model of motorcycle is great. It does not stop us being motorcyclists that either own or admire other bikes. When all is said and done surely each one of us would give assistance to a rider in need of help no matter what bike they rode. So to have inflated egos that curtail discussion of any other bike can stay on other forums.

I might, but only for fun and because I know Tony would take no notice whatever !   :whistling:

Absolutely - a shared passion for bikes is what we are all about.  It's a GSX1400 forum insofar as the technical aspects of it, getting help with fixing it, finding accessories for it, and so on.

It's not as if we ask or proof of 1400 ownership  (I wanted to join a Guzzi forum once that wouldn't let me unless I told them my rego number, VIN, etc   )

Most people here have owned, do own, or are planning to own a 1400.  That's enough forme.

Many own other bikes aside from their 1400 and I am always happy to see and hear about them.  Tony is a case in point.

Be careful though.. I might post up pics of the boxes which contain my CX500... :rofl3:
