anyone in se qld know a good vinyl wrapper. had some crazy quotes. not confident to do myself. front mudguard. can buy a new one from web bike, just bandits for the same price. i want that carbon look so not painting.
I'd go for dipping rather than wrapping on a mudguard :onya:
I haven't seen Hydro dipping in Australia but Google tells me it's here, here's one return from Brisbane that seems to do some nice work.

today quoted for front guard and rear , where the number plate goes. i know most cut it off, mine still standard. carbon fibre wrap. $100, job done. even gave me a sample piece. top service, great price and product. even can get a couple of patches leading edge of tank, stone chips there. good to find someone that wants to help. another wrap shop nearby, 120 bucks mate just to order vinyl in, plus this, that and something else. big difference.
Is that to DIY? interested to see how it turns out, particularly near number plate. I tried to get my rear tray dipped on the underside but after 4hrs of trying the guy understandably gave up and painted it back black.
thats job done celtic, just drop the bits off, pick up later. bargain. they say their wrap they use is best availacle. will post name, cant remember.

they gave me a sample patch. front guard is easy. looks like it wont stick to rear. sort of too rough. must be a way. will search it out or talk to them next week. would look good on rear im thinking. any help appreciated. my thoughts is to paint rear guard, just spray pack. maybe give a decent surface to stick to. not sure.
In case you're interested, I've just put all the dipped bits back on my bike and this is how it looks. I had the front guard, rear hugger and the lower part of the side covers done. As I said earlier, I tried to get the undertray done too but that failed so went back to black. I also got a couple of cans done for the rear shocks but not sure how I feel about them so at present they're still off. It's not a perfect match for the exhaust but I'm still well pleased with the look and hopefully they should give you an idea of how yours might turn out.
Very nice Andrew, but I think you need more of an angle on that rear number plate - if ever you hit a hard bump, the suspension compresses and that hits the rear tyre - well, nuff said, I've seen it happen and it isn't nice.
Seriously, I would think about angling it out at the bottom a bit more, upright is not good.
Thanks for the heads up! I hadn't even noticed that myself so good to spot before the damage is done.

When you say rear guard... do you mean the rubbish plastic bit that the number plate is screwed too or do you mean something else?
A tail tidy fixes the first problem MUCH more neatly.
