Title: front guard (again)

help me please. my front guard paint is annoying me. stone chips etc. should i re paint. buy a new one. vinyl wrap, like carbon fibre look. web bike want lots for a newie. paint is around 120 bucks. vinyl wrap around 150 from shop, job done. can buy carcon fibre wrap very cheap, never tried to do, should i? your thoughts and examples of any guards youve wrapped.

Grog - is it just the leading edge that's getting chipped? If so, why not apply some clear helicopter tape to the leading edge and then its job done for life.

grog have a look on youtube mate - lots of how tos on vinyl wrap there.  Watch a few you'll soon see who knows their stuff and who is full of shit.

For something relatively basic like a front guard I'd definitely have a go myself. A LOT of money to be saved.

Hi Grog. I've just had mine dipped (along with a few other bits) and I'm impressed with the result. Not too expensive but obviously more than wrap. Can't comment on how well it'll fair with chips etc but I'd imagine it'll suffer much the same as pain't.

i had a look at dipping, seems good to me. i found some blue carbon fibre look wrap, very cheap. will have a go. worst that can happen is its off and in the bin. you dont know until you have a go.
