You Europeans often get confused as to exactly how large this country is / what distances are involved in travelling it.
(That's not a criticism, we just enjoy watching your minds get "blown")
Anyway this article really good to give you an idea of distances involved....

Yep.. its big :worshippy:
If i were to travel 1.000 km by road i would have crossed at least 5 country borders and need 2 foreign currencies, depending on direction.
i know its quite big and you upside down folk
have done a good job sorting out most of the edges of your island but come on about time you sorted out the middle bit now. :stir:
Size isn't important - unless your driving around Australia of course :smile2:
Since most of it has a 100kph speed limit is takes AGES to get ANYWHERE on a long run.

Aren't speed limits just sort of guidelines :whatever:
That argument failed me.
been here all my life, still find it big. speed limits? are they still around.

Thanks for that - really looking forward to my visit later this year now !!! :cry2:
Australia is big, youve got too much sunshine as well.
Too much sunshine? Hmm, not sure what that even means....
I saw an interview with some Battle of Britain pilots who said they looked forward to going up - fighting with Jerry was worth it, if it got them above the clouds for some sunshine....
 True story.

It means too much sun for pasty white poms, they'd frizzle up if they were in sun for 3 days in a row! :whistling:
I guess it's all about prepective. I was in Cairns last June and the locals had jumpers and beanies on because it had dropped down to 18°C, while the news on TV was reporting an incoming heatwave in the UK at 27°. Oh and the best part was the footage was of a man putting sunscreen on a pig!
Stopped at Ceduna on the way home to Perth from Phillip Island, GPS reads "1199km to your next turn"
no chance off missing the left turn then :onya:

It should follow that by saying "Wish you'd bought a 'busa?"

Absolutely what I was thinking; give us a call when you have filled in the hole in the middle and we'll come down one night for a beer and a look round.
Honestly, we really like what you have done with the place so far, it will be great when its finished :stir: :stir:
:rofl2: :stir: :clapping:
