Silly question, but I am going to be replacing my chain and sprocket this weekend and was just wondering if anyone knows what size socket the rear axle nut requires?
After a bit of googling I seem to be getting different answers

Yep pretty sure it's 36mm as I had to buy a big 3/4 drive socket for it.

Same here, 3/4" drive then a 1/2" adapter.
I ended up with a black impact socket but that's OK as I can remove it with my impact gun (bad arthritis).

If you want to stir folk up, put the nut on the opposite side.
It makes zero difference but some folk get upset about it......

36mm........so not large vice grips then
Another great day on the right side of the grass.😎

Tapping, as required, with a small cold chisel and 4lb hammer also works . . .

A pipe wrench will do just fine :happy1:

Buy a set and throw your sockets away :rofl2:
