When installing wheel bearings there are a couple of tips that are handy to help make the job easier:

- Put the new bearings in the freezer th enight before you are due to fit them. This will cause the metal to contract slightly and make them easier to fit
- When driving in the new bearings try using an old outer race which has a slot cut through it. This way you can drive the new bearing fully home with no dents "appearing" on the wheel and the slot means that it compresses slightly making it easy to get out of the wheel housing after the new bearing is fully home
Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement
