For those of you who know Lucky13 (Gavin) from the old GSX1400 org, he has expanded his business to include a product called Zapster, which was developed based on his own ideas and experience of biking.

Essentially its a small one-time sticky pad that fits on most surfaces - in our case crash helmets - and enables key medical and other information to be sent to key contacts in the event of an emergency. Not expensive - 2 tags with support cost just £9.99 for 2 years subscription, which IMO is good value (as in the event you do have an off and are unconcious these little tags (by the swipe of an NFC enabled smart phone against them) give vital data to named contacts which can be passed to the emergency services.

Got them fitted to mine and Mrs Barmy's helmets - hope they never get used, but a bit of a safety net "just in case".

Nothing to do.............all day to do it....I love retirement

I prefer a CRASH card, handed out for free at Bike Safe, Bike Down type events.
Universally recognised by the emergency services and no annual sub.

Got one of those as well (from attending a Bikesafe course) - I guess then you have the little green dot on your lid somewhere?

I like cover every way!

Yep, got my crash card during a charity run out. A freebee given out by `Essex Air Ambulance`. The card with the holders details lives inside the helmet beneath the padding, the green dot applied to the outside signifies to the emergency services to look for it.

I`m kinda thinking that these cards are readily available via any of the emergency services web sites......
