did this recently as the fork legs were looking a bit manky, didn`t want to go the highly polished route so just rubbed them down with wet and dry then finished them off with steel wool, easy to maintain and looks closer to std than polished
Can you come over and do mine please 🙏
Great look 👍😎

Your way looks bloody good Steve. Ive been thinking of painting mine Hammerite grey, same as i did crash bars. Very tough coating. Now not sure which way to go.

They don't stand out at all, just look new
While you are there, you may want to try to get back to OEM 'brushed aluminium' look: Scotch Brite (from under the sink as well :-) ), scrubbing always sideways, then hardened clear coat.

They look good, I was contemplating scotchbiteing them( have done other stuff with it) but was happy with the steelo finish as easier to maintain uncoated I think

I've used a product made by French Company specialized in old cars/bikes/etc. paints.
Website in French only, I'm afraid ;-)
Sprido (https://www.sprido-peinture.com/aerosols-specifiques-de-peinture/2530-vernis-2k-satine-sprido-avec-durcisseur-aerosol-400-ml.html)

Mwahahahahaaaaaa! :imrgreen:
What was the company called mate, my step sister lives in france and could get some for me as that looks like a great winter project while I sort out the stansions and internals, I could get those headstock bearings done and while I'm down there do the pairs block and re-paint the oil cooler.
